The 2006 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS) will be held at the International Convention Center, Beijing, China from October 9 to 15, 2006. The conference theme is "Fusion of Human and Robot Intelligence in our Cyber Society", reflecting the growing interests in interactions and co-existence of robots and humans, personal robots, networked robots, and other robotics technologies for improving quality of human life, such as health cares, entertainment, home services, etc.

Papers are solicited in all related areas in robotics and intelligent systems. Proposals for tutorials and workshops, as well as organized/special sessions are also welcome to address the emerging areas and innovative applications of new technologies.
